This is an Oxygen Absorber. It helps absorb any excess oxygen in the bag to help maintain freshness. The absorber says “DO NOT EAT”, so please, do not eat it.

No, they do not have nitrates or nitrites.
No, our products do not contain any added MSG, except for that naturally occurring in soy sauce.
